I bought this in a charity shop and wanted to keep some of the flower and bird detail at the top because I thought it was quite well done. I repainted the ‘green’ board with blackboard paint and the rest in Paloma. I lightly distressed the frame, waxed with dark wax and then with clear wax.
Ever since I went on an Annie Sloan chalk paint course run by Dulwich Trader in London, nothing has been safe from being painted, decoupaged, gilded or waxed! This is my latest project: painted with English Yellow and Violet Grey. I will seal it with clear wax once the paint has fully dried.
