I often think that camera straps are a little boring – would you buy a genuine leather colourful (any colour you wanted) strap for your camera?  I’d love to hear your opinion.

Spent a lovely day visiting the @decorativefair #antiques #art #design

If only I had the budget and space to house such amazing things!  I opted for an original Japanese Woodblock print SinPan Bijustsukai Ocean of Sea By Yoshinosuke Tanaka hand- printed from woodblocks in Japan in 1928.

Some transfer testing!

I recently saw a post on FB whereby someone printed out an image (reversed) and transferred onto a wooden object.  Ever keen to give these things a go, I tried it out on the back of a tray that I had already painted with Annie Sloan’s chalk paint in Old White and Paloma.   Firstly, I inadvertently used the wrong glue and will use mod podge when I experiment again.  I left it overnight and then wet the paper, rubbed off the excess and the transfer had ‘transferred’ onto the tray. Unfortunately, some of the image has rubbed off but since this is my first attempt, I am fairly pleased with the result and it lends to the shabby chic look!
